Indoor air quality and humidifiers
We test for what is actually in the air before we recommend anything, then size and install the humidifier, filter or media air cleaner that answers what the test found.

What we test for
We use HVAC equipment and dedicated air testers to check for pollen, allergens, pet dander and microbial contaminants circulating through your system. That is a different job from a filter upgrade sold off a brochure. It is a measurement, taken in your house, of what is actually moving through your ductwork right now.
Findlay's seasonal pollen swings and the usual pet-in-the-house reality both show up in that testing, and so does anything growing somewhere damp that the ductwork is quietly distributing to every room on the system.

From the test to the fix
The recommendation follows the result, not the other way round. If the test points to particulate, a high-efficiency filter or a media air cleaner sized to your furnace's airflow is the answer. If the air is simply too dry for the season, a humidifier is the fix, and if it is a combination, we say so and price both rather than upselling whichever margin is bigger that week.
That order matters. A system diagnosed first and sold second is the same discipline we apply on every furnace and AC call, just aimed at the air instead of the equipment moving it.
Chapter 03
Humidifiers
We install, clean, service and repair whole-home humidifiers, and we carry both Trane and Aprilaire, so the unit going onto your furnace is matched to its airflow rather than whatever happened to be on the truck. Preventative maintenance is part of the offer, not an upsell after the fact, because a humidifier that is never serviced tends to become the thing growing in the ductwork that the air test was checking for in the first place.
Installation ties into the existing ductwork and the furnace's own water supply and drain where the model calls for it, and we walk you through what that unit actually needs, in the water panel or the drum, before the season it is meant to help with arrives.
Dry air is a comfort problem and a building problem
A Findlay winter with the furnace running most of the day pulls the moisture out of a house fast, and the first signs are rarely dramatic. Static that shocks you at every doorknob, trim and hardwood that start to gap and crack, skin that will not stop drying out no matter how much lotion is on the counter.
There is a mechanical side to it too. Dry air feels colder at the same thermostat setting than humid air does, so a furnace working against overly dry air ends up running longer to hit the same number on the wall. Getting the humidity back to a normal range is not just about comfort in the moment, it takes some of that extra load back off the furnace.

What the test looks for, and why dry is a building problem too
An air test is not one reading. It checks for particulate load, pollen and dander among it, and it checks for the kind of microbial growth that only shows up when something in the system has stayed damp longer than it should. What comes back from that test decides whether the fix is filtration, humidity control or both, and it is the same test whether the complaint is a stuffy nose or a house that never feels right in January.
