Findlay furnaces, rooftop units and plant chillers, same crew since 1989

The range

Most shops pick an end of the load. We have worked all three out of the same building on Pine Avenue for thirty-six years.

A hallway humidifier in the morning and a plant-floor chiller in the afternoon. Same phone number, same crew, same estimate policy.

Home

One room or the whole house

Central forced air and central gravity heating, split systems, hybrid heat pumps, underfloor and electric wall heaters, high-efficiency filtration, humidifiers and dehumidifiers. Estimates are free and we service every brand-name system, not only the ones we sell.

If the house is cold or the air conditioning quit, this is the call you make.

Building

Package rooftop units and the duct that feeds them

Central, split, window and wall air conditioning. Gas, electric, solar, forced air and hydronic heating. Ventilators, programmable thermostats, motorised zone systems, air-to-air heat exchangers, air and process piping, and custom sheet metal fabricated for the run it has to fit.

The equipment on your roof, and the metal that carries it to the rooms below.

Plant

Process, recipe and scroll chillers

Industrial work is a different job to a house and we treat it that way. Ventilation systems, process chillers, recipe chillers, scroll chillers, split systems and package rooftop units, from stripping out the old equipment through to the new install, with maintenance programmes so the breakdown does not happen mid-run.

Machines that stop a production line when they stop. We keep them running.

Where most of the calls start

It usually begins at a house, and it does not have to end there

Nine in ten calls are a furnace that will not light or an air conditioner blowing warm. The reason a plant manager and a homeowner both end up on the same number is that the diagnosis is the same discipline at either scale: find what actually failed, say so plainly, then price the fix.

  1. 90

    01

    Healthy

Contacts clean, blade tips true, airflow where the data plate says it should be. Nothing to sell you. We write it down so next season has a baseline to compare against.

  2. 70

    02

    Watching

Pitting starting on a contactor, a capacitor drifting off its rating, a filter loading faster than it should. Cheap to deal with now, and we will tell you it can wait if it can.

  3. 50

    03

    Book it

Still running, but the margin is gone. This is the point where a planned visit costs a fraction of an emergency one, and where a maintenance contract starts paying for itself.

  4. 30

    04

    Now

The failure is arriving, not approaching. We would rather find this in October than take the 2am call in January, which is the honest reason we push seasonal maintenance.

In plain words: we show you how much life the thing has left, and you decide what to do about it. Nobody here works on commission.

The record

Two jobs, told by the people who paid for them

Both of these are public Google reviews. We have not tidied the wording.

The technician who explains it on the way out

John came out today to do some seasonal maintenance. He is always extremely polite and professional. He always explains everything thoroughly on a level that I can actually understand. I am never uncomfortable with Bowers coming into my house and can always trust that the work they complete is top tier.

Carli, seasonal maintenance

Her words, not ours: everything explained on a level she could actually understand. That is the whole job on a maintenance call. The part that gets replaced is the easy half.

A quote we were only asked to give for comparison

After meeting with the salesman Drew, it was clear the level of service from Bowers was leaps and bounds ahead of the competitors. Drew took the time to review all aspects of the install to ensure we understood the differences in equipment.

Andrew, full system replacement

He called us in to price against somebody else. Drew walked the equipment differences, the installers left the house clean, and the follow-up call came months after the invoice had cleared.

Overall we sit at 4.8 out of 5 across 365 Google reviews. Not every one of them is five stars, and we would rather you read them yourself than take a number off a website.

The credentials that are worth stating

State of Ohio licence #17082. A Trane Comfort Assured dealer and a Daikin Elite Dealer, carrying Navien tankless water heaters and Aprilaire humidifiers. Family-owned since 1989.

We sell Trane and Daikin, and we will still work on whatever is already in your basement. Those two things are not in conflict.

Before you call

The questions the office answers most days

No. Estimates are free on residential heating and cooling work, and that includes replacement quotes. We will tell you what the system is doing, what it needs and what it costs before anything is ordered.

We offer 24-hour emergency service. The office is open Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, but the emergency line runs outside those hours on the same number, 419-423-8666.

No. We are a Trane Comfort Assured dealer and a Daikin Elite Dealer, and we also carry Navien tankless water heaters and Aprilaire humidifiers. But we service all brand-name heating and cooling equipment, whoever installed it.

Yes. Alongside residential work we handle commercial rooftop units, motorised zone systems and custom sheet metal fabrication, and industrial work including process, recipe and scroll chillers. It has been the same shop doing all three since 1989.

Yes. We are a licensed and insured business and our State of Ohio licence number is #17082.

It is a different proposition to the geothermal systems of twenty years ago, which were more expensive and less capable. A ground loop moves heat that is already stored in the ground rather than burning fuel to make it. We will walk you through whether your property suits one before you commit to anything.
